warmbell My clock gained about 12 minutes a day after trying to find a fix I tried placeing a 22pf capacitor accross C4 and C5 in turn, found that c4 was open circiut. I replaced it with a 40pf trimmer and now find I can make small adjustments to the timing. If there is a future version of this clock it would be a good idea to add a TXCO IC which gives a stable 32768 Hz output to the RTC IC.

Assembly was easy. Make sure you leave the photo sensor and thermistor long enough to bend toward the case. Worked the first time I put voltage to it. It gains about a minute every few days. I wish I could contact the designer to ask for a fix or a variable POT to adjust the clock circuit. Also I didn't see the option for the interface installation kit. I would really like that also. All and All I

warmbell Mine too has the green Leds dimmer than the rest

I made this kit in an hour or so taking my time following the instructions linked in the item page. The bottom plate didn't seem to transmit power to the "B" board of the tree. So I linked the power source from the "A" board and it works. The green LEDs on the "B" board seem dimmer than the rest, maybe I messed up a connection or resistor? Fun kit, all parts were there and working. The instructions
