Q: what voltage do they cut in at ( lowest voltage to start glowing ) and i am guess if you vari the voltage from 0 to 12v on each colour you get different brightness and hence different colours. i want to build my own controller for these and make them change colour and brightness so i need to know if they are current controlled constant voltage or voltage controlled to change

Q: Do you sell without controller . I need about 8 x 5meter how many watts for 5m strip per colour. ( is it 30w per colour or 30w with all 3 RGB 100%. ). can you dimm to make many colour output.

Nekrus0 you can just buy 8 pieces 5M led strip light, but not this item. And the wattage is for whole strip light not per color.

Vince 72W is the whole led strip light. you can use a dimmer controller to make this light dim.

wujiahui NO,That is not input 0 to 3.3 or 0 to 5volt. Input: 3V - 35V Output: 4V - 40V adjustable
