0tboy Yes, by attaching a plug to the input which takes preference over the BT input.

After assembling, I was happy to see magnetic base 's on unit. The perspex enclosure is great which I put together after checking assembly. Note, side with earphone jack has to be the right way up for the jack to fit in. Brass supports - smaller ones fit on top of base, larger ones on top of board supporting the top layer. Glue on red on/off button. Loud beeps on turn on/off and adjustment buttons are a bit high so keep input volumes down until unit is started. Unit is loud with just 12v input @ 2 Amps into 4 Ohms Spkrs. Added extension bluetooth aerial length (exactly 40mm ! ) to give 40' coverage. ( Refer to utube for further details - at your risk)

Fast Shipping to NZ in under three weeks. Well packaged in cardboard box and item arrived in perfect condition. Comes with an AC adapter for NZ connection which is earthed as one would expect. This AC adapter is not obtrusive and the thought of fitting a local plug end on is not something I will bother with. After installation of connections, & power up, unit reached operating temperature rapidly to set temp and performed perfectly. The station is small enough to be again, unobtrusive, sitting snugly in place of easy reach. I would have liked a little longer connection lead to the iron (900mm) however this is a personal thing and the fitting is more than appropriate. I recommend this unit & store to future purchasers who are thinking of owning a well constructed, solid and smart looking soldering station which incorporates a decent transformer for power delivery.

0tboy Yes, I think the lower limit is about 1 amp. You should have no problems, I use 2 amp and it perfect with no hiss
