wexler no difference. I didn't check this aspect yet. You can try different lenghts in order to state how the measures depends on this. In my opinion you should not modify anything because the device is calibrated with that wire lenght and it is not possible to modify the firmware in order to readjust what the display shows. By the way, this device is very accurately.
