Obviously not really 5 amps, got an old 4 amp original Makita battery and it lasts more than this one so I'm guessing this is 2.5-3 amps real capacity but for the price it's ok and was expected.

Excellent product, works with rechargeable batteries, pretty accurate (compared it to a few others) nice big readable screen on the main unit but crappy barely readable screen on the sensor, not a big deal since I use the main unit to see the sensor temp.

Very good product. I have no idea about the capacity, never checked it. Got it to use a jump starter for my car and it does it no problem, tried it many times as I was having electrical problems with my car and my battery was being drained by itself overnight so got to use it a few time until I found the fault. Got a 2.5 liter turbo diesel engine and this thing had no problems starting it with a battery at 7V a few times in 5 minutes.

Love it. Cute and small but powerful enough for small jobs, I have a soldering station at home so bought it as a portable iron for work outside and at a friend's that doesn't have 1. Comes with a nice little stand with a sponge, a little solder and a very nice silicone USB cable. I'm very happy with the order and will recommend to anyone doing diy soldering.
