I have ordered this to replace the faulty laser module on my ELMDESK engraver. It works fine also on a 3018 CNC module, although I had to exchange the pinout of the cable to match this module.

product works, but it seems waering out quickly. Extreme poor logistic, ordered from CZ warehouse, with a promise 1 week delivery, finally arriwed after a month, with a stamp from Germay. Most probably was dispathced from China. Costumer service said nothin else, just "wait an other 40 days..."

The item arrived without battery, but what is worse without any kind of battery holder. The user supplied battery must be soldered onto the board. Good luck finding a battery with solderable leads in the correct position with correct polarity! The polarity of the battery pads not marked in any way, so you have to guess or reverse engineer the board. The pinout of the connector to the RPi is marked, but the marking is mostly under the connector, hard to make it out. Since the pinout is such that the VCC and the GND connector is at the opposite ends of the connector, the easy mistake of plugging the item reversed onto the RPi would be fatal for the board or the RPi or both.

Bright sharp laser. More than perfect for the purpose I bought for (pointing to the night sky during astronomy presentation). The device looks good robust. The supplied charger is unusable as it cannot be plugged into any standard European socket. It seems to be designed for the old socket type without ground contact but that is out of use since at least 20 years!

The product description states 40x magnification and 60 mm diameter. Also the product is marked as 40x60 (which is the same). But none of these are true! The object lens diameter is about 40 mm and the magnification ... definitely less than 10x. Maybe 8x. I compare it to my 10x50 binocular, and it is less. The picture is sharp but has very serious barrel distortion towards the edges. The phone holder is really hard to set. So overall what you get is a lightweight, usable monocular, but you are better off with a small cheap binocular. Forget the phone attachment.
