Q: what are the two enclosed black rings for?

chopper The o-ring around the inner barrel will eventually wear out, so they include 2 replacements. I would not use them as a keychain ring, they are not designed for that purpose nor strong enough to last very long that way

chopper so what I did was plug the satellite into another spektrum receiver that had a bind plug and did the bind process on that receiver, then I moved the satellite back to the king Kong

Vkirbys On the DSM2/Spektrum receiver is a small button (it looks like a very small copper / gold circle with a black dot in the middle). You have to press this button whilst you are connecting the Lipo battery and it will put the Receiver into bind mode, then you just put your Radio Tx into Bind mode and bind as usual
