Fours stars for value because the priced dropped in the two months it took to get here. It will need a 9 volt and a C cell battery. You may be able to understand the limitations of the meter if you can read Japanese or whatever 'ese' the manual is written in. It looks as if it might work as expected but I'll need to get the batteries for it first.

The JST connector on the TL-Smoother is 10.5mm while the JST socket on the A8 stepper motor is 12.5. One can't just plug n play this thing. One connector on the Dupont cable will have to be swapped with the OEM connector on the printer. Extra work for a mere 2.5 mms. The reviews don't mention this so perhaps things have changed, and not necessarily for the better.

Easy to build. Use a magnet or magnetic screwdriver to hold the teeny weeny nuts in the slots for the box assembly.

sundancer87 A small magnetic screwdriver works well for holding the case nuts in the slots.

Only complaint is that these old hands are a bit shaky trying to put the case together. Seems to work well. A few extra resisters were shipped so if you’ve extra no worries.
