Q: What is the SET pin? Will i be able to tie it low (to GND) and would still be able to send and receive and send commands? Or do i have to hook it to a Digital pin on my arduino. I would like to still be able to send commands to this module. Thank You

HamsterHybrid Wennthe module is in "SET" mode, you can't send and receive commands, because the module awaits your settings via Serial. There is no need to constantly have the SET pin grounded, usually you set the module's settings once and that's it.

HamsterHybrid para a comunica o sem fios entre dois microcomputadores como o Arduino. possvel enviar dados entre 2 ou mais desses.

HamsterHybrid Youcan solder the spring antenna to the board (or just a wire) or plug an external antenna into the IPEX port.

Great little module. I was able to get a communication range of around 500m with a direct line of sight. Another antenna might improve that a bit. Worth the money. There are a bunch of libraries and instructions out there, so getting these to work is pretty quick if you have a little bit of experience with Arduino programming. If you want more range, you need to buy the HC-12 with the SI4463 chip instead of the SI4438, but this one is substantially more expensive.
