Decent shocks for FMS 1/18 scale crawlers. The o-ring for the top of the shock cap leaves plenty to be desired, but the shaft seals are tight and don’t leak oil. Which is good because the shock piston doesn’t have any holes so a very light oil is required. I ended up taking my silicone shock oil out and just putting 2 or 3 drops of 3 in 1 oil in them which allows them to function pretty well.

FMS makes a great looking FJ crawler. Very good speed control and drag brake. Only downsides are the esc noise (vibrations from the esc get amplified once the body touches the metal chassis) and the little 030 motor can get hot quickly (I added a heatsink which helps somewhat).

Fast shipment and product arrived in original packaging in great condition. The Wltoys 124018 buggy itself is a great vehicle, but be aware some TLC is a good idea before running Wltoys RCs out of the box. YouTube is replete with videos about overfilled shock oil and under-greased differentials. Mine came with the shocks set right, however, steering definitely required adjustment as the front tires were misaligned. I did end up greasing the differentials and drive shaft cone gears as they were only thinly greased from the factory. I also put a heatsink on the motor right away as this buggy version tends to run hotter than the 124019. After a quick once over, mine was ready to go and performs great!
