Like Thoriated Tungsten emits ALPHA radiation.
BG163252183 Definitelynot. Alpha particles will never pass-by the plastic housing, let alone the glass of the GM-tube. For bta I build-in a mica window (and used a more sensitive GM-tube). Neutrons cannot be counted with this device. Without upgrades it works fine (though not very sensitive) for gamma.
