Q: Is the R005 shunt resistor supposed to blow before the shortcircuit safety kicks in? Because mine went up in flames.

decent except the short protection did not work for me. I only use 1P, so the current might have been not sufficient to trigger it.

works but I have decided to use triacs to replace them, since I noticed I sometimes draw above 4A on 240V.

pretty good for the price, but the XLR cable adapter cannot be made into a proper XLR cable, since it seems to only have 2 wires inside (GND,+), so I had to buy one separately to feed phantom power (GND,+,-).

Does what it should, but I find running 2A continuously unrealistic, since it heats up a LOT. Perfect for Applications below 1A.

3 of the cores broke in shipping, but its ok since they should be epoxied anyways. can also be used as a regular, non-flyback transformer when removing the gaps between the core parts.

works as intended, but the description is lacking. It seems the description is copy pasted from a full functioning circuit, which makes some things confusing. For example, there is a feedback winding together with the low voltage winding and I had no idea what it was until I searched for complete circuits.

Does exactly what it should. It is important to use this with a decent power supply unit, otherwise the sound suffers a lot. Something to keep in mind is, that its not only about the max. current the power supply can deliver, but also about how much stability it gives. I use an old gaming laptops power brick (19.5V, 3.5A) which works perfectly. The connectors on the back are quite shabby, but they are good enough to test around a bit before permanently wiring it.
