Mikeyeboy I read on another test reviewer and he dismantled and discovered that on turbo mode it uses a capacitor aswell which is charged up when charging the battery in the torch which intern should give u more running time but if u charge bat out of torch capacitor will draw a charge from the bat before u even started using , not sure if you'll notice a difference but I'd thought I'd share the data I have gathered before my perches
