It works for what I need it for, but using a UM34 tester, it never even reached 5W. You can charge a cellphone on a sunny day with it, but it takes a while.

Was shipped well protected in a little tin. UI is mostly intuitive, though sometimes a little clunky, but easy enough to figure out without the manual, if you spend a few minutes. I got it to test a USB solar panel (1558414), and it has been great for that, but in doing so it also identified several bad cables that I have! Very useful tool. My only real complaint is that the screws were put protective film, so you have to remove the screws to clean things up, if the tiny scraps of plastic bother you.

Works well, with diagrams and all! I've tested it with a handfull of transistors so far, and it's great. The screen isn't protected at all, and is only held in place with very weak double sided tape, so a dab of glue or wide-clear tape is probably a good idea.

Sits well in the hand. Not slender or light, like many other shorter pocket knives. The wood finish is great, and looks fantastic. Out of the box it's sharp enough I didn't feel the need to sharpen it right away, but it's pretty far from razor-sharp.

Most of what's in the packet is coloring, not GITD powder, but that's what you expect. When charged with a blacklight, this glows brightly for a long time. You can only see the individual colors for a minute or so, after that it still glows, but will just look green. Bonds well with paint and common glues: ie school glue, superglue, silicone adhesive. Well worth the money.

Cures quickly, bonds well to wood. Finish is glossy. Sandable. Fully opaque: if you're hoping for transparent or translucent, pick something else.
