Q: Why are these cells labeled 400mAh when they are in fact 1800mAh ?

skipweasel They'resold as 4000mAh because high values sell. Last time I looked there's no such thing as 4000mAh 18650 cells - so it's a lie.

Q: I built this power supply with your instructions. I hooked up output voltage leads to a resistor decade box (50 ohm) to test the power supply. However, output dc voltage suddenly became 34 Vdc and whatever I set the voltage, does not change anything on the output voltage. I can adjust the potentiometer and the output voltage goes down to 18.4 Vdc on the LCD. But, when I measured the output voltage, it shows around 36.7 V all the time. I would like learn what to troubleshoot. Can you provide schematic or information?

The Meter is good quality. The Test Leads quality isnt very good but adequate. No batteries were supplied with the meters. The meter uses two AAA cells Overall Im very pleased with this meter as it was very cheap and seems to have all the bells and whistles of meters costing alot more. I bought 6 of them for students I am teaching so for entry level meters I think they are really good. I recommend them highly

The silicon chip is revision 1 (the newer one). It's different than the pictures shown on the page, it's 36 pins not 30.

The quality of the board is very good. I found a bit of solder flux left behind. Overall the build quality is very good. Soldering is of a high standard. I was a bit disappointed that it runs on 3.3V but on the upside it will word great of a single cell lipo. Now just to install all the arduino bits and then to do my first blink program. At this price I will probably be buying alot more instead of the 2 I just bought.
