This is a small and lightweight TTL to RS232 converter that is originally intended for updating the firmware in a FrSky receiver, but you can use it for other applications too. In particular, this item is very handy for sending Pixhawk telemetry through a FrSky receiver back to a modified FlySky, Turnigy 9X or Taranis controller. duststorm This module uses a HMC5983 chip as its electronic compass. If you look up the datasheet of that chip (http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/1802211.pdf) it tells you the how the axes are oriented.Your FC generally expects X to point left, and -y forward. Knowing that, look at page 4 of the datasheet and you will see that the SCL and VDD pins of this chip should point forward, and I2C/SPI pin to the left.The mark indicates pin 1.Find the compass chip on the board, the small perfectly square chip.

After contacting BG on five occasions, Still no one has replied to tell me what is the front face of this unit to have the Mag/compass pointing in the correct direction? Any one out there know, help please-it would be most appreciated, as it's usless to me at the moment, Regret this purchase BG.
