Not all games runs at the most optimal speed and you’ll need to try out the best image … firmware … emulator … settings are best for using in your device and extracting the best of it. PS1 runs fine in my opinion but I have basically done everything from the scratch by flashing a new image and emulators. And about the games, there’s a huge list that comes with it we can possibly list here.
