This is a great soldering station. If you are thinking about purchasing this, you won’t go wrong. I bough this to replace a “firestick” I had that came with a general purpose computer repair kit. I messed up one of my consoles using the “firestick” as I had trouble heating the solder up enough to give me anything other than a dry joint. When I received this, I was easily able to repair the damage I had done and now my Super Nintendo console is working great. The digital readout is clear, the build is of good quality with good heat sinks and the power input soldered directly to the board. The hand piece it comes with also feels really natural in the hand and I feel it is more like using a pen than any other soldering set up I have tried. The included tip is also great, but I did buy additional T12 tips to complement the setup. You won’t go wrong with this soldering station. One thing, it doesn’t come with a power cord, but you are likely to have one lying around that works well. It uses a standard PC or monitor three prong grounded cord.
