LilyGo TTGO T-Display are really nice ESP32 boards. I've bought quite a few from Banggood and they all arrived quickly, safely and all work without fault. Be aware the USB interface is USB C (nicer than micro-USB) and with Arduino there is a reliable upload. You will need to install the CP210x USB to UART Bridge VCP Drivers from silabs.com for the USB port to be recognised on your computer. The colour ST7789V display is really nice - and although it takes up a few of the ESP32 pins, there are enough available for us to use SPI + I2S + I2S + others. NB: GPIO36 to 39 are input only. The blue power LED is (annoyingly) not programmable. The LCD backlight can be controlled as a LED on GPIO4. If you use the recommended TFT_eSPI display driver library and use a full screen-sized Sprite for the display then you can get flicker free >40FPS without effort. A LIPO battery connected to the connector underneath can be charged by the USB, and disconnecting/reconnecting either does not crash the ESP32. There is hardware battery management for charging but not for discharging, and it carries on draining until the ESP32 crashes, so, if you are powering just on an unprotected LiPo battery you may want to prevent damage to your LiPo by including some code to test the battery voltage (a simple function call) and go into deep sleep (very low power) if eg battery goes < 3.2V. GD6ICR Love to try one of these. My problem on the LILYGO TAMD Termod S3 is I cant address the PSROM and lots of Arduino ino wont upload? anyone any ideas?
