The good points - Makita battery fits perfectly, doesn't rattle or move. The tool feels good and heavy in the hand. It has plenty of power for normal workshop use, in forward and reverse. Overall it looks good. The bad points - socket holding is terrible, it started off extremely tight and difficult to fit and remove the socket, after about 10 hours the socket is so loose it falls off when the machine is held socket facing down. The silcone and plastic cover bits in the front are rubbish (and pointless), I threw them away after the first use. Overall, if you just want a cheap tool to throw in your toolbox, it should be fine, but for any serious work and to eliminate the annoying socket looseness, spend a bit more and buy a Makita. If I compare this tool to my genuine Makita impact, I would say it is not even close in terms of overall quality or functionality. You get what you pay for.
