Good Units I have received the Wireless Module and tested them - all of the pieces worked fine right away. I was able to build a transmitter and receiver that works. The range I got was about 300 meters. A bit more range is possible I think but probably not 1100 m, unless the conditions are perfect. With these units using a base module is a must if you want a higher range. The base module allows using 5V supply from Arduino and the module also has built-in capacitors to stabilize the current drawn when receiving. I used a ping-pong acknowledge sketch from the TMRh20 library and a YouTube video to help. I also made changes to trigger a relay using input out pins on both transmitter and receiver and changing the payload counter value based on the pin states. Overall these modules work well. Buy if your range needed is 500 m or less. 1100 m is probably a stretch - at least in most common situations, except a direct line of sight in an open field. Interestingly the package I received come from Delhi which shows a different price than what I paid and delivery was stuck in Delhi for almost a week. I wish there was better transparency on this part.
