I took a peace of flat iron and sprayed it with matt-black. I then heat it up till the temperature reads 250 degree C on my digital thermometer. I then point this IR thermometer at the flat iron but the reading went up to only 85degreeC. I change the settings on this IR thermometer, I tried everything in the manual but this piece of crap thermometer never go higher tan 85C. At room temperature which is 25C here were i stay, this IR thermometer reads 41C. I'm going to throw this crap thing in the dumpster so i don't have to face it any longer that's for sure.
