Lose the button and your seatbelt buckle will slip down the belt making it difficult to find, and easy to trap in the door......infuriating! This allows you to fix it, so the buckle hangs out of harms way but easily to hand. Find the original hole in the belt and push the plastic pin through. Add the other half to the opposite side and use a hot tool to melt the pin and expand it to secure the button. (soldering iron works well). That's it!
