It's simply a must have for DIY soldering projects - to be honest I really loved the color and the size is a perfect match for my usual working space (that used to be a regular kitchen cutting board made out of wood). The grooves allow to organize the small electronic components and avoid spreading resistors everywhere on the table only to realize dinner needs to start soon and they have to be relocated :-).

THICK, this pad is thick, which is great. I have had my soldering iron sit on this pad with no damage. Nothing sticks to it (Silicon) overall, great mat for price and application
