The remote gives you a lot of color options and a few different flashing/fading settings. I like the fact that you can dim the colors also. I am using these as accent lighting around my TV entertainment center and they would be too bright if you could not dim them. I really like the effect of coloring the wall behind the TV while watching movies! I plan on buying more of these to use as Christmas lights around my front door and windows. I would certainly recommend these to anyone looking to ad some color to your life!
