This unit is very light and heats up quickly. I love the fact they give you two spare screws for the unit, I lost one already. It's light in the hand, and being small it leaves a good view of the item being worked on. This is especially useful when working on small components. Don't bother with the sponge, get a wire solder tip cleaner instead. I use a variable power supply to power it, although you could use a Lipo battery 12 volt and above. I already downloaded and installed the latest firmware from Github. It is as easy as connecting the iron to your computer with a micro USB and simply copy the downloaded hex file to it.

This is the greatest TS100 pack!! It only lacks the power supply and LiPo Battery, as it already comes with the cable. The only thing that I would change is invert the cover with the base.. as the LiPo cable is loose, every time you open the case, it is out of it's place. The padding is glued and pulling out will damage.
