The laser module arrived within 2 weeks of ordering from China so thumbs up to Banggood. There are no instructions on how to interface to a CNC controller and the supplied psu/interface board keeps the laser switched on full power unless you keep the button pressed which seems a bit crazy. A 3A 12v power plug supply is included but has two adaptors in order to plug into a UK socket which is not impressive or possibly unsafe. Although sold as a Vigotec module, the wiring connectors were not compatible with a Vigotec controller I have available. Wiring idents on the supplied board enabled me to easily re-wire the unit to my Arduino CNC shield and the blue wire ignored as I don't monitor temperature. Its early days and I need to refine focussing but it did cut 3mm plywood with 4 passes at 100% and 250mm/min feed and air assist which is much better than my 5w unit. So, I am pretty pleased so far.

Q: How should this be wired to the GRBL mainboard? Can it be powered by the mainboard instead of the power supply included? When the power is supplied through the red circuit board, it powers on at 100% and PWM does not work.

creast I wired this to my Arduino CNC shield connecting the WHITE wire to the PWM pin of the shield and this works fine. I believe the BLUE wire is for temperature monitoring so wasn't used in my case.

It was a bit of a fiddle to get the correct to work but this was due to incorrect BIN file. Now works nicely on my old laptop screen. I couldn't get the remote to work at all despite trying different BIN files so not sure what is wrong here. Also not sure why the supply a loose infra red led in the bundle??
