Q: the usb-c socket is now so loose that the cable drops out. What can I do? It is only 9 months old!

BG381816114 Afterabout 6 months, the USB-C cable socket started getting very loose and the screen looses the picture every now and again, replaced with a blank screen and strange pattern of vertical white lines. Now, after 9 months, the USB-C socket is so loose that the cable drops out under it's own weight, making the screen unusable for any practical purpose as a handheld device or as a touch screen. The socket should have been better designed/stronger/more robust to deal with real world usage. While it worked, it was great. Now, unusable. Very disappointing. :-(
