I've reviewed pretty much every 1/14 and 1/16 scale RC Car currently on the market and none are as complete as this one. It's fast (40km/h) super durable and the battery lasts for 15-20 minutes. This is easily the fastest RC car you can get for the money, I clocked it at 71km/h. I don't recommend this for beginners because the speed can lead to breakages but for those who are confident driving it is hard to beat. Lots of nice features on this one including gyro control, voltage telemetry (display your vehicle voltage live on the transmitter with alarms) and a 30 model memory. The menu is not as easy to navigate as the Flysky FS-GT5 but it has actually got better features. Range is great. Overall a good mid range radio choice. One of the better micro rc cars, certainly more durable than ones made by turbo. I had around 50 minutes battery life from the non-fpv version. Pretty cool for hooning around inside with a top speed of around 5-6 km/h. Check out the full review and teardown at quadifyRC.com

Decent truck with good performance. Big wheels make this more capable than most on grass and a reasonable top speed of 40km/h. Air shocks are a bit of a letdown but at least the friction shocks have a good spring rate. Metal Driveline is really good Battery life of 12 min+ See the full review at quadifyrc.com

Very impressive high end controller with all the accessories including wireless charging. Clearly a copy of the LC10b5 and Xray XB4 but they've chosen to copy a good set of cars. Chassis flex is poor but easily solved with a 3d printed top deck. Handling is superior anything else in this price range including the smaller WL toys 144001 and 124019. Check out the full review and GPS speed measurement - search for the QuadifyRC 104001 review.

NimmaS Yes, the 104009 is essentially the 12402 with a few upgrades and yes, the stock ones are made of cheese.

Q: What's the difference between this and the 16889 besides body shell color?

NimmaS 2840 motor up from 2435, full metal drive train now, steering servo seems faster, oil shocks standard, battery is now a lipo rather than li-ion. Top speed tested today is 39km-h seems similar but better pickup I think. Full review coming shortly on quadifyRC.com

NimmaS it's NIMH and absolutely holds this car back. you'll definitely want a lipo pack. the 2s 2200mah one from the 124019 works well
