Great props in a fun choice of colours. Its worth noting that even though these are called ‘Pro’ props they are just the same as the regular Cyclone 5047c props, except these can also be used with the ‘pop-on/off’ motor threads. But they work just fine on normal motors without this feature too.

As others have said the port labelled rx6(S) is S-Bus If you’re running an FrSky receiver and you want telemetry you need to enable Softserial in Betaflight/Butterflight as this FC doesn’t appear to have a built-in inverter. You can then map Softserial to a free port on a UART via the Betaflight CLI and run Smart Port telemetry through that port. I enabled Softserial on the LED_STRIP port on mine as it was free and it meant I could solder all my RX wires next to each other on this board. Google ‘How to use Betaflight Softserial’ for a tutorial if you don’t know how to do this.

This is a fantastic frame for the money. Carbon is pretty good quality and frame feels stiff and strong. Easy to work on and remove arms etc. The lower top deck design compared to the Martian means a lower center of mass and gives more locked-in stable flight performance. Plenty of space inside to mount a stack and your VTX RX etc. compared with tighter frame designs like the Chameleon. Flight performance of this compared to a Reverb is petty much identical. Only thing wrong with it is the screws are pretty poor quality and strip easily so it’s definitely worth replacing these at the start.

I've had BIG issues with mid throttle oscillations using this flight controller on my Chameleon frame. I soft mounted the motors and f.c and no matter what I did with the PIDS the quad would bounce and vibrate in forward flight in anything over a slight breeze. Changing prop types made no difference either, nor did switching from 16k/16k to 8k/8k or 4k/4k on the PID loop and the motor vibrations were low to the gyro. So I think the gyro chip on my board must be faulty or slighlty loose as it seems WAY too sensitive and the flight performace is poor. Either that or this F.C does not like frames with one-piece carbon base plates.A So be warned if you have a Chameleon-style frame! Overall very disappointed with this flight controllers performance, especially considering the cost.

SLICK6 Yes there is varied screw sizes available, Try the box sets of 3m screws with different sizes inside.

These are decent VTXs when they work. I’ve had a few of these now and one broke in a crash (my fault) and another was left powered-on for an hour when my quad got stuck up a tree. After that it still worked but had really bad black lines in the video feed in flight so I guess it overheated. Currently on my 3rd and no issues - so if you don’t abuse them they seem to be fine! And at this price you can’t really complain...

Made of tactile stretchy plastic that easily fits over the switches on my Taranis radio even stretches over the wider ones! The sticky plastic gives a more positive grippy feel to the switches against my fingers which is nice. You get a decent amount in one bag more than enough for one radio- but 2 packs might be necessary if you want them for 2 radios. Good product!

I've had four of these on my quad for over a year now and they are still working well. Only had one LED bulb fail in that time, but as there are two LEDs on each unit I've still got light! :) I've not noticed any difference in flight times on my quad with these fitted vs my identical second quad with no LEDs - so they don't seem to drain your battery on 4S. They seem pretty robust and can take plenty of crashes without issue. Just make sure you put some liquid electrical tape over the solder pads before you fly, as if you leave them unprotected it will cause a short circuit in damp or wet grass!

Looks and performance-wise these motors are pretty good. They have quite a lot of low-rpm torque but seem to lack outright punch at high rpms that my Emax rs2205s motors have. They seem happiest at low to mid throttle. However they are quite expensive for what they are and the metal they are made from is quite soft which means they are not very strong and are pretty vulnerable to significant damage in harder crashes. The motor bell can be easily bent out of shape if it takes a direct impact which then jams on the base and stops the motor spinning. All of this wouldn't be such an issue if they were built stronger and didn't cost so much to replace! So value for money is an issue with these...

For the price these are a worthwhile purchase for that little bit of extra protection for your motors. However they dont make you invincible! Crashed my quad from 15ft up onto slightly hard ground the other week and the rear left arm took the brunt of the impact. It snapped my motor protector clean in half and bent the motor bell meaning the motor wouldnt spin - so theyre not fool proof but better than nothing!
