rupert Receivedmine yesterday - luckily no problem with the tracks which are straight and true but same issues with the raised parts of the the head piece which are a fraction too wide to sit in either the channels of the guide rail (festool, so that the head piece will not slide onto the guide rail without loosening the 2 cross head machine screws and negating any previous calibrating) or the red tracks as shown in your first image. This is a big problem as the whole production batch will be the same. Not sure yet how to get round this but it will certainly involve removing some metal and spoiling the finish. Maybe Banggood will have an answer. Also one of the shorter cross head machine screws is badly threaded and has to be replaced. These issues apart this is a well finished as yet unusable tool.

rupert Here is a definitive answer for you. No, it does not fit Festool out of the box. Some buyers say yes but I think that they must be loosening the cross head screws to get it on the rail - this should not ever be necessary once the pieces are assembled (unless the festool rails vary in profile thickness, which is unlikely). I ended up putting thin shims between each of the heads and the sliders and then tightened down the cross head screws. Works perfectly and is true. Given the quality of the pieces (excluding the large sintered screws, some of which I had to replace) I think this is still a great quality item for the price and worth the bit of extra work - just a shame that when it was designed for manufacturing they based it on rails with a slightly thinner profile than Festool - ie Makita.

rupert Hi,I had the same problem and after some thought placed thin shims (1mm) between the red T piece and the sliding bar and then tightened the cross head screws ensuring the slider was square to the beam, though if its slightly out I doubt it would have an appreciable effect. It all works now as it should do. Given that I won't ever be dismantling the head piece now that its set this seemed the best option preferable to removing some metal. Hope this helps.

gefragt von BG103717454 auf 2022-01-02 08:11:41

rupert It won't work with de walt track (needs a lip to click over) but will work with de walt track saw if that is used on festool track or similar.

Q: What precision have this jig?

gefragt von Francis auf 2020-09-21 09:30:26

rupert Not as accurate as it would appear, the pivot holes are not perfectly aligned. I had great hopes for this but it is seldom used except for when accuracy is not important. Centre drill guide is 0.35mm off centre even when clamped. Great idea (copied from the Woodpecker version) but no way precise enough. Maybe an afternoon's careful work with a file would sort it.
