When plugged to the PC it installs the drivers automatically (XP 32 bit, Win 7 32/64 bit). It uses a FT232R and a MAX485 chips. The FT232R pin 13 (CBUS2) connects to both the Receive (2) and Transmit (3) enable pins of the MAX485, FT232R pin 1 (TXD) connects to pin4 of MAX485 and FT232R pin 5 (RXD) to pin 1 of MAX485. The screw terminal connections labeled A and P on the RS485 side are for respectively the Data+ (A) and Data- (P) on a RS485 network. The Rx and Tx TTL level signals are available through the jumpers mounted on the circuit, so this board can also be used as a USB to TTL serial converter, but obviously no DTR and CTS signals. It has a red LED indicating power is ON, a green Rx and Tx LED that blink when communication is active. Tested together with a ADAM-4018 from ADVANTECH and it works fine. I recommend it.

Works great, the only thing that is important to research is the drivers for OSX. it's not that easy to get it to work...
