The contoured shape of this propeller suggests that it was almost certainly computer designed to provide the highest thrust possible, while avoiding propeller 'cavitation'. The manufacturer has made an excellent attempt at maximising efficiency by producing a very smooth surface with no moulding burrs or defects. The threaded brass insert, while of course not technically essential for maximum performance, is always an indication of very high quality in moulded plastic components. I shall be ordering a couple more, but mainly on the principle that "If you've got several spares of everything you almost certainly won't need to use any of them"!
