if you have indoor plant and if you give it extra nitrogen or e.t.c after few months you have to take sample from bottom of pot and measure it, if it is higher than 2500-3000 ppm, thant means it it time to flushing otherwise all the salt will cover roots and plant will die. thats to tool you can measure it:) it is quite accurate you can use it many many years

Good packaging

This little meter is a gem! First, pour about 3 cm of water from your tap into a clean glass. Set for PPM (Parts Per Million) and write down the number for your tap water. Then dump the tap water and pour in about 3 cm of water from your filter pitcher. If the filter is new, the PPM numbers will be much lower than your tap water. But if your filtered water number is higher than the tap water- it's time to change your filter!

Goods Arrived as per schedule. Packing was flimsy, should have been atleast a bubble pack. No harm to the Instrument, Hence No complain.
