I've done a lot of tiling and I always had tile level differences that I didn't notice until grouting. I just used these and every tile is perfectly even. I had tried the wedge type leveler but their spring back design makes it tougher to set the tiles close to the wall, these bases are flat so there is no push back. My only problem with these are that they only come in one gap ,another wider gap would work better for quarry tile.
